Giveaway: 3 Winners!

Since it's the end of the week, I have a quick little book giveaway for you today-it's a gift for the heart. As I've been hearing stories from others regarding loss lately (like my husband's cousin who lost her Aunt & Uncle in a car accident just 2 weeks ago) and I know there are many who struggle to move forward after having endured other difficult circumstances, I wanted to share a book that I thought might help.

I have (3) copies of Paul Davis' book: 'Breakthrough for a Broken Heart -Overcome Your Disappointments and Blossom Into Your Dreams' to give away! You might recognize the name because he's my husband. ;) It's a quick and powerful read including some of his own personal stories. He was married once before me and sadly his previous wife was unfaithful, this prompted him to write the book a few years later just before we began dating 7 years ago, and includes many other types of examples also. I hope it will be a blessing to someone struggling. Paul is an Author of 15 books, a celebrated Life Coach as well as engaging Public Speaker sharing messages of hope, truth and inspiration.

If you or someone dear to you has lost a loved one, gone through a painful divorce/ breakup or perhaps has wounds from their childhood that are not yet resolved, be sure to enter our giveaway for the chance to win a copy.

Entering is simple but you must be a follower of this blog (via Google Friend Connect in the right hand sidebar).  #1. Simply leave a comment letting me know who you think the book would help (you can always email me the personal story if you don't wish to leave it in the comments, just leave a comment below that you are doing so) and #2. Follow me via Facebook or Twitter (or both if you like!) That's it! :) One comment entry per person. Open to all readers Worldwide. All books will be mailed to your address of choice via Media Mail.

Normally, I use Random.org or Rafflecopter to select the winners but this time I'm going to read your comments and let my heart select the winners. I'll be drawing the winning names on 04/09/13 @ 11pm EST and announcing them on 04/10/13. Good Luck!

Thanks for Reading!

XO

  1. This is a book I think might help a friend of mine who lost their fiancee in a tragic accident over three years ago and has had a hard time in so many areas of life ever since.

  2. My dad passed away almost 6 years ago. We were not the best of friends when he was still alive. In fact, he used to hit me. I used to go to school with bruises on my arms and legs and I hated him for that. Until one day, he got into a horrifying motorcycle accident and went into coma instantly. My whole world turned upside down instantly as well. The doctors said he had a very slim chance of waking up again. After 2 months in the hospital, we were able to bring him home. And during these times, I became the breadwinner of the family. My mom and I took care of my dad but after a few months, he died due to complications. I never got the chance to talk to my dad again, to say sorry and that I have already forgiven him. I never got the chance to cry at that time as well, because if I did, my mom would totally break down, she was relying on me for support so i have to pretend that I was brave. I used to hide in the bathroom whenever I felt like I was losing hope. I have never fully recovered.

    2. Thanks for sharing your story, Catherine. I'm so sorry to hear what you had to endure as a child and live with never getting to say what you wanted to you father. It sounds as though you carried the weight of the world on your shoulders and had to be strong for your family. You were one of the winners selected for the book giveaway and I pray that this book resonates with you in some way and helps you heal your broken heart. May God give you peace and hope as well as a bright future ahead. I'll be praying for you! XO ~Karla

  4. My husband, Jon and I are experiencing the darkest days of our lives. Having come through an operation to remove cancer in his sinus area last July, and then enduring 7 weeks of radiation, we have recently found out that the cancer has returned, very aggressively, and has only a 10% chance of being operable. Yesterday, we found out that the cancer has spread to his neck lymph nodes. The doctors are willing to try surgery, if it has not gone to his chest. He is scheduled for a CT scan on Sunday. This will determine if they can operate. The only other option is palliative chemo. We have 4 children, and are relatively young (48 and 52). We are reaching out for your prayers, and trying to understand - we have faith, and many prayers from all across Canada, and the US. It is so difficult to watch a loved one suffer.

  5. Thank you for your kind words, Karla. We do beleive that our prayers are being heard. We are also grateful that, while under absolutely horrible circumstances, we have re-affirmed how important every moment is. Jon and I thank you for your prayers...there is comfort knowing that we have so many people praying for his recovery, and most importantly, his comfort.
