  9. A woman who mothered me told me that I could have anyone or anything I wanted as long as I didn't mind working for it. She said these words to me over twenty years ago. Even when things seem out of reach now, I think about what she said and it inspires me to work harder.

  11. Best Mom Advice: Don't judge a book by its cover. We were never allowed to make fun of anyone because of how they looked, race, disability, etc. Everyone has someting good to offer regardless. It's something I try to instill with my kids.

My mom always told me to go for it! She believed in me and thought I could accomplish anything. Just like she had. She has no patience for people who don't just DO what they dream about doing.

The best advice I got from my mother was to spend as much time as I could with my grandparents. I was young and just wanted to do my own thing, hang with friends, party, etc. It wasn't until after they had passed away that I realized all the wonderful things that my grandparents had experienced and learned and were trying to teach me and I started to wish that I had taken my mother's advice and spent more time with my grandparents.

  35. Wow! This is hard because I just lost my Mom. Now that I'm thinking of it, what she used to say frustrated me the most in my life. She said, "You'll make the right decision." I wanted her to tell me what to do, but she never would, and I always learned to trust myself in making decisions.
I had you bookmarked but I'll follow you too. :)
